The UECI faculty is professional and experienced. All faculty members hold advanced degrees in English, and are native speakers. All are licensed by the Department of Education of New York State to teach English-as-a-second-language. Faculty members are familiar with the problems of cross-cultural learning and adjustment to urban life in a dynamic metropolis like New York City. Some instructors in residence have had overseas teaching experience in Asia and Europe.

Our teachers provide individualized instruction both inside and outside of class, along with assistance with career planning, living arrangements, and personal matters.
